Our Story
TerraWave started with a problem that did not come from agriculture.
Our team, initially focused on biomedical imaging branched off to use the science that was used to distinguish healthy tissue from tumors to monitor grain quality and detect changes over time. The results were promising in bins storing 2,500 to 1M bushels of grain across the Canadian Prairies and Midwest US. It could detect changes in grain condition, estimate inventory levels, and identify early signs of spoilage without manual sampling.
TerraWave was created in 2023 to continue and advance that original research. With lessons learned, modern IoT systems, and a clear focus on real farm needs, the team picked up where it left off. Today, TerraWave is bringing lab-proven radar sensing into the field to solve a problem that still costs farmers billions every year.
